Film Pitch

 For this task we were put into groups of three and given a random genre and target audience to produce a suitable film. My group were given the genre comedy and the audience was aimed for teen girls, within the group we came up with film ideas and how we were going to pitch this to an audience. We created a PowerPoint to present our ideas, this includes the main theme and story line of the film. It also shows what actors and actresses we felt were right to play our characters as well as information on the specific characters featuring in the film. I personally felt like we came up with good ideas for the film genre we were given, however they were heavily influenced by other films which made it perhaps unoriginal and quite predictable in some areas.


For our film pitch evaluation we received a lot of positive feedback, with every feedback form saying they would buy the film rights of our film  'The Wedding'. However quite a few people stated that they thought that the title of the film was not original and wouldn't make them want to watch it. We also had quite a few negative comments on the question 'is the film different' many responded saying that its not different and is to heavily influenced by other films such as Bridesmaids, Hangover and Were the Millers. On the positive side of things we had lots of ways to market and advertise our film which everyone agreed with.
